These are photos of Nicholas and Ella right before bedtime on Christmas eve. Our Christmas eve plans changed when Nicholas woke up from his afternoon nap and wasn't feeling well. He was coughing and de-stating and just feeling kind of crummy, so he stayed home with daddy while Ella and I went to my folks' Christmas eve party for a couple of hours to see the Hargrave side of the family and some of our friends. We had a great time visiting with everyone, but it didn't feel the same without Nicholas and Jeff there, so I fixed a dinner plate for Jeff and headed home just in time to catch the end of Nicholas's new DVD-Toy Story 3. We cuddled up on the sofa and finished the movie and then tucked the kids into bed. By this time, Nicholas was feeling great and only woke up once during the night. Before I went to sleep I thanked God for all He has given us, especially for sending his son, Jesus, to us all. I also asked that he help Nicholas to feel better so that we could celebrate our first Christmas together as a family of four. I fell asleep feeling like I always do on Christmas eve:Happy in anticipation of the birthday of our Savior and dreaming sweet dreams of joy and peace.
