A Weekend with Vivi & Moco

A couple of weekends ago we had the pleasure of watching my niece and her doggie while my brother, Eric, and sister-in-law, Tina, enjoyed a few days in Las Vegas. Tina works for AT&T and because she's such an amazing asset to the company, she and a few of her co-workers won a trip to Nevada with lots of fun perks.

Meanwhile, we truly enjoyed having both Vivien and Moco at our house while they were away. Since Nicholas' death our home has felt too quiet and very empty. Filling it with a toddler and a dog was just what we needed for a few days to bring some healing to our broken hearts. Having them here made Jeff and I realize that we want to grow our family, which means that we hope to add more children in the near future and possibly a pet as well. We really want Ella to experience being a big sister and all that comes with it, because there is truly nothing like having siblings to share your life with. For now, lots of time with her cousin will have to do.

We filled the weekend with lots of fun: lots of time with Gramme, a Costco shopping trip with yummy food samples, park time, and walks around the neighborhood. We're so grateful to have family close by as we have relied on loved ones for so much strength and healing these past two months.
