We have been so blessed these past few weeks with such lovely, warm unusual weather for autumn in the Pacific Northwest. I love all the colors in our front yard this time of year, and I love seeing how our plants and shrubs have matured and grown in the years since we've planted them.
The kids and I have been taking long, leisurely walks around our neighborhood, soaking up all the glorious fall sunshine.
It's been a challenge to come up with appropriate outfits in his warm weather. It's sunny and 68-70 degrees during the day, but it gets cold at night so I have started dressing in layers for work. I love fall clothes...boots, cardigans, and scarves are my most favorite pieces in my wardrobe!
Last Saturday, my good friend, Heather Purdin of Click Photography took our family photos. I snapped a quick picture of Ella all dressed up before we left. She looks snazzy, right? She, too, loves to wear scarves like her mama.
Ella is loving her dance classes. I took her on to class last Monday after several weeks of not being able to attend (since I needed to be home with Nicholas when he was ill). I was pleasantly surprised to see how much she has learned and how well she listens to her teacher now. I am so proud of her!
Ella has been spending much of her time outdoors in our backyard sliding the afternoons away. This one plastic slide offers hours of fun for our little munchkin.
I hope we get to keep this lovely weather for a few more weeks!!
