Ella had her fall dental check-up in October and I am happy to report her teeth were sparkly clean and she had no cavities whatsoever. She loved wearing these Minnie Mouse shades and watching a cartoon on Netflix while she had her teeth cleaned.
I took this photo one afternoon as my youngest laid her head on my lap and proceeded to tell me all about how much she loves preschool. It was such a sweet moment and I absolutely love hearing about her school adventures. And, those eyelashes, oh they are so lovely. She gets them from her daddy.
One afternoon after church (Jeff stayed home with a sick Nicholas) Ella and I ran some errands around town. She wanted to ride in this cute Richard Scarry car on the way out of Fred Meyer and giggled with delight at every movement.
Later that same day we parked under a tree that had dropped most of its leaves and Ella couldn't wait to play in them. She anxiously bounced out of our vehicle to jump, throw, and spin in the autumn leaves.
Even though she's only four, Ella loves to take "selfies" with mommy. She likes to see herself and be in charge of pushing the button that takes the photo.
Ella had her four-year well check up a few weeks ago. She is 44.5 inches tall which puts her in the 98th percentile for her age and weighs 43.4 lbs which means she is in the 50th percentile. So she's tall and thin like her daddy. She had a mid-morning appointment on a weekday and she had the whole waiting room to herself since no other children were present. She loved playing with all the toys while we waited for her to see her pediatrician.
October and early November were unseasonably warm and sunny in the Pacific Northwest. We took advantage of the beautiful weather with lots of time in the backyard. Ella is a mini artist and loves to paint on her easel.
Both of our kids adore their sweet baby cousin,Vivien. Vivi has Ella's same curious spirit, so those two have a great time with each other.
Earlier this week I took both children to the mall to visit Santa Claus (I will share the official Santa photo in another post). Ella asked to ride this cute little firetruck after the visit.
We headed up to the food court after meeting St. Nick and ate some lunch. While we were dining, Ella spied a trampoline bungee activity across the way, so she asked if she could have a turn. Our bouncy monkey loved it and even completed a couple of mid-air flips between bounces.

Sometimes I look at Elizabeth and I see a glimpse of my baby, who is quickly becoming a little lady. Other times I see the young woman she will become. I feel extremely blessed to raise this child and be her mother, even in her most challenging moments. She's so special and so unique and I love her with my whole heart.
