Pre-School on Skype
After a three-month hiatus, Nicholas joined his pre-school class again via Skype. Nicholas loved singing songs, listening to his teacher read Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom, and talking with his adorable classmates. He was excited to show the kids his balloon after Ms. Wendy did a balloon counting rhyme. I love that we have access to technology that can enhance Nicholas's learning experience without having to send Nicholas to school so that he can stay away from those icky cold and flu germs. However, we are hopeful that he will get to make some trips to school this spring and say hi to his friends in person.

This post brightened my day! Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is such a fun book :)
Jessica, I noticed that Nicholas has a little pillow between his legs. Is he able to sit up for short periods of time? Did you get him back in his wheelchair for a bit (like you mentioned you would try in your previous post)?
Hi Paula!! Nicholas has been able to sit up for short periods of time since he returned from the hospital in December. Usually he sits up for a total of 2-3 hours per day, at 20-30 minutes increments. We have not received a loaner power chair yet, but talked with Nicholas's physical therapist last week and she will contact our rep and see about getting one next month for several weeks!! Thanks for reading and commenting! How have you and your family been?
