It's A Guy Thing

Brett's last day in Washougal was on Tuesday and he came over and spent the whole afternoon with Nicholas and me. Nicholas loves spending time with his godfather since he rarely gets to see him. Brett has no problem getting Nicholas to make goofy faces like the one below. Also, Brett and I were talking about Unite for the Cure and all of the fundraising we have been doing and Brett generously offered to donate a Ronix wakeboard with bindings that will be signed by one of the pros for us to auction off to raise money toward our goal...so stay tuned into the coming weeks and we will tell you how to possibly win a brand-new autographed wakeboard! We miss you already Brett...we're counting down the days until you return in December!


These are a few photos I took the other night when we went over to the Darling's house, who are our neighbors and good friends. They made a yummy taco dinner and we enjoyed spending time with them and the Cox family.

After dinner Mason and Nicholas got into their PJ's and Mason brought out a fishing game for them to play, which Nicholas loved! Mommy helped him hold the fishing pole and catch fish as they swam 'round and 'round. You can see the game in the photo below.

I used to baby-sit Mason every Friday afternoon, however, this year because of the arrival of Bella, his new sister, Erin (his mom) is just working part-time so he doesn't come over once a week anymore and Nicholas misses seeing him all the time.

Mason always plays with Nicholas really nicely and can make him laugh and smile with his silly faces. Mason also likes to bring out his big trucks and lets Nicholas push them on the ground. He's going to be a great big brother to Bella!

On a completely different note...Tomorrow is our first fundraiser for Unite for the Cure! Nicholas and I will be there in the afternoon and are stealing Jenifer and her assistant-for-the-day, Brienne, away for some lunch since there's an hour break between sessions in the afternoon. It should be a very fun day and the weather is going to be sunny and beautiful which will make for some very lovely photos, I'm sure!
